Challenges
Attracting early career talent
To help more people access a career in the financial services industry, Kleinwort Hambros wanted to add diverse early talent into its business. The company planned a 22-month apprenticeship scheme that would provide the opportunity for apprentices to acquire on-the-job experience while gaining a professional qualification in a structured framework.
But the company didn’t have a recruitment process in place that specifically targeted this entry-level talent. So, Kleinwort Hambros partnered with Cielo, its existing talent acquisition partner, for Recruitment Process Outsourcing support to provide the framework and expertise to fill the 14 positions it was looking to hire.
Solutions
A trusted RPO partner
Kleinwort Hambros and Cielo devised the entire end-to-end recruitment process to include marketing collateral, sourcing strategies, and recorded video interviews via its internal recruiting technology platform. Keeping the Kleinwort Hambros brand front and center, the teams also established the recruitment campaign, internal communications and engaged in recruitment marketing.
Results
RPO partnership with energizing outcomes
Through all the outreach channels, the teams received and reviewed 4,000 applications. From there, 100 candidates were shortlisted and sent a video request to complete four interview questions, resulting in 50 one-on-one interview requests from hiring managers. Kleinwort Hambros’ successful RPO partnership with Cielo led to all 14 apprenticeship roles being filled with offers extended and accepted to start in November 2020.
